  • East Coast Homes is proud to help you build your "green" modular home. The Environmental Protection Agency defines green building as "the practice of creating healthier and more resource-efficient models of construction, renovation, operation, maintenance, and demolition". This method of building is far healthier for you, your family, your neighborhood, the planet, and your wallet!       In order to keep your home highly energy efficient, our green homes have ceiling and wall insulation with a greater R-Value. All voids and potential areas for air infiltration like electrical boxes, drywall seams, etc. are foam insulated keeping your home draft free. Also, our homes come standard with Low-E glass windows filled with argon gas for added insulation.       Material Conservation/Recycling:
      
      With the help of computer-aided design and precise measuring/cutting methods, the excess material is minimal. Excess drywall, lumber, plumbing, etc. are figured into the design and then used elsewhere in your home, or even in another soon to be constructed home. The small amount of material that cannot be reused is sorted and then recycled.
    • Reduced Ecosystem Disruption:
      
      Due to the home arriving 85% complete, the time in which the ecosystem is disrupted is greatly reduced when compared to a stick built home. In addition, East Coast Homes can work with you to create a tree preservation plan for your lot.
