Our Process
1. Initial Consultation
Your first step in the modular building process is to speak to a Design Consultant so we can custom tailor a solution to accommodate your entire new home’s building needs.
3. Land Evaluation & Lot Engineering
Whether you own a piece of land or are still in the process of finding that perfect lot, we are here to help. We work with local engineers that know the region and work with you on all of the site engineering.
5. Ordering Your Home & Site Preparation
Once your loan is closed and a building permit is issued, East Coast Modular Homes will order your own home from the manufacturer and simultaneously start to prepare your lot for delivery. As the excavation and foundation are underway, your home is being built in a factory controlled environment, away from the elements.
7. Button Up Work
Completion of your home can take as little as 8 weeks once set onto the foundation, but depending on your choices this can increase this time. Once we obtain the certificate of occupancy from the local building inspector, your beautiful new home is ready for you to move in.
2. Design Engineering / Home Design
We will have you come into our design center and sit down with one of our home design consultants. We work with you to design your modular home. With so many options to choose from, it is our goal to better understand what products you want in your home and we can develop a budget.
4. Contracts
After your home design and lot engineering are both completed, we will order permitted state plans and create a contract for you to take to a the bank of your choosing. As your bank works toward the closing date, we will be working on your building permit!
6. Setting The House
A typical home will arrive on site 6 -8 weeks after it is ordered. Your home comes in 80% completed and can usually be set in only one day, weather tight in a few!
